Lists & Travels

..I love them!

I’m writing a to do/to buy list and a packing list for Israel now. Starting now is my favourite way of completely eliminating that horrible “I’m sure I’m forgetting something” feeling the last days.

Here’s the first part of my list :)

Packing list – Israel

  • Passport, drivers license
  • VISA, Mastercard, Creditcard
  • Shekel
  • ISIC card, HI card, Jojo traincard
  • Air ticket copies
  • Vaccination certificate
  • Canon EOS + charger + extra battery
  • Canon IXUS + charger + extra battery
  • Extra memory card, memory card reader
  • Mobile phone + charger
  • iPod + charger + headphone splitter
  • USB stick
  • Voice recorder + batteries
  • ASUS + charger
  • Casio watch
  • Mini torch
  • Padlock
  • Backpack wirelock
  • Swiss army knife

.

I have been away a few times now so I basically take my old packing lists and change them a bit when travelling again. If you’re a newbie and not sure of what you might really miss when you’re away – here’s an easy page to try: Universal Packing List!

And if you forget something, there’s mostly shops at the destination, so forgetting mosquito repellent, a small bag of washing detergent or sunglasses might be a bit annoying but it probably wont kill you. :)

I’m really looking forward to be travelling again and meeting some of my old travelbuddies and new people. It’s just a month this time, and I probably won’t look the way Noam does on this picture from Buenos Aires in 2008.. This time I will be doing a lot of research and thesiswork and not just hang around meeting people and seeing places, I’m actually really looking forward to that part, maybe even more than to the travelling itself. I have a very interesting month ahead of me, and hey, I’m bringing my backpack again, just that.. is great.

The only thing I wish I could bring is my Olli, but he’s got his own stuff, and hey, there’s Skype :)

Noam and all my other friends from South America, I see you soon!

But now back to real life and the things I need to finish before the trip.

Ciao!
